2025 Young Artists Concerto Competition
The Bravura Philharmonic proudly announces the 2025 Young Artists Concerto Competition!
Eligibility:
Our competition is open to Elementary, Middle and High School Students. There is no minimum age requirement. All instruments are welcome to audition, including voice, harp, percussion, and traditional folk instruments.
Auditions:
There will be ONE round of auditions. Contestants have a choice of submitting a video OR they may audition in person. In person auditions will take place during the afternoon of March 30, 2025 at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Audiences are welcome to observe the competition performances.
All contestants must audition with piano accompaniment and are responsible for providing their own accompanist. A list of recommended accompanists in the central New Jersey area is available upon request.
Repertoire:
Contestants may audition with one movement from a concerto or other piece composed for their instrument and orchestra. No transcriptions or simplified arrangements are permitted. The orchestra score and parts must be readily available and currently in print.
Registration Fee:
$110 USD, non-refundable.
Deadlines:
All applications and videos are due by March 15, 2025.
Video Submissions:
Once your application is received, you will be contacted with a contestant number. After receiving your number, you will then label your video with this number. Videos must have NO NAMES or other identifying information that is visible to the adjudicators, other than your contestant number and the name of the composition.
Winners:
Up to four winners will be selected to perform their concerto in concert with the Bravura Philharmonic on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at the Princeton Alliance Church in Plainsboro, New Jersey.
